The main functions of HDPE wax in solvent based coatings are matting, anti precipitation, thixotropy, good lubricating and processing properties and metal positioning. High density polyethylene wax is a non-ionic smoothing agent, which gives smoothing effect, plasticizes the fiber surface, and significantly improves the wear resistance of the fiber. In the case of alkyd varnish, when the amount of polyethylene wax is 1.5%, the abrasion resistance of the film is 2 times, while when the amount of polyethylene wax is 3%, the abrasion resistance is 5 times.
