High density polyethylene wax is a non-ionic smoothing agent, which gives smoothing effect, plasticizes the fiber surface, and significantly improves the wear resistance of the fiber. After trial on cheese, high-density polyethylene wax can improve the breaking resistance, elongation and friction coefficient of cheese. Polyethylene wax can greatly reduce the grinding tendency caused by friction and maintain the durability of low gloss, which is often required in applications. In the case of alkyd varnish, when the amount of polyethylene wax is 1.5%, the abrasion resistance of the film is 2 times, while when the amount of polyethylene wax is 3%, the abrasion resistance is 5 times.

If metal objects touch the coated product, they will leave black marks on the coating. Adding polyethylene wax to the film can reduce this trend, and the marks can be easily erased. The function of polyethylene wax depends on the variety and specification of polyethylene wax, the final particle size, the ability to transfer to the coating surface, the composition of the coating, the performance of the coating substrate, the construction and application methods and other factors.
