Commonly used engineering plastics such as PA6, PA66, PET, PBT, and PC also require the addition of lubricants to achieve mold release and improve the effectiveness of flow or compatibilizers.
At this time, when choosing polyethylene wax, we cannot choose homopolymer polyethylene wax, because according to the principle of similar compatibility, these engineering plastics have either strong or weak polarity, and it is necessary to choose polyethylene wax with a certain polarity;

For example, oxidized polyethylene wax, ethylene acrylic copolymer wax, maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene wax, etc. On this basis, we will further select according to functional needs.
For example, in PA6, if it is necessary to improve the injection molding filling ability of the material, an internal lubricant is required, which can significantly improve the fluidity of the material. Then, combined with a certain release agent, such as ethylene acrylic copolymer wax, this function can be achieved.
If it is necessary to improve the surface properties of products made of PC materials, external lubricants such as oxidized polyethylene wax can be used to improve the release performance of products during injection molding.
If you want to eliminate the problem of floating fibers on the surface of glass fiber reinforced PA66 materials, you can achieve this effect by adding maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene because maleic anhydride has a good – OH affinity with the surface of glass fiber, which can increase the interfacial compatibility between glass fiber and PA66.

Of course, when selecting different polyethylene wax varieties, it is necessary to take into account temperature resistance, particle morphology, and other characteristics.
Principles of modification of engineering plastics:
Due to the relatively large shrinkage rate, poor creep resistance, weather resistance, and room temperature stability of PP materials, and low low-temperature impact toughness, it cannot meet the special requirements for the performance of materials used in some products. Polyolefin materials have a wide range of sources, low procurement costs, mature synthesis and production processes, and have outstanding advantages such as good mechanical balance, low density, chemical resistance, and ease of molding and processing. Therefore, it is necessary to modify it to meet the special performance needs of the product.

Polyethylene wax for engineering plastics needs to have the following properties:
1. The dimensional stability of materials used in products is good, which requires that materials have good creep resistance.
2. Good weather resistance, need to be able to maintain long-term use without discoloration, aging and cracking.
3. The material used for the product requires a relatively high cost performance ratio.
4. The material needs to have certain surface properties.
5. Materials should have excellent mechanical strength and impact toughness at the same time.
6. The material needs to be easy to form and process.
