What is the difference between high-density ope wax and low-density ope wax in PVC processing?

Firstly, both high-density ope wax and low-density ope wax are high-performance PVC lubricants with polarity, which can be added in small amounts but have very obvious effects. They can bind to the surface of PVC particles, such as putting a lubricating coat on PVC particles, and have a very good demolding effect in the later stage of processing. The main difference between high-density ope wax and low-density ope wax lies in their ability to improve the plasticization rate of PVC and the fluidity of the melt.

Relatively speaking, high-density oxidized polyethylene wax is extremely fast in improving the plasticization speed of PVC. In the processing of hard PVC products, high-density oxidized polyethylene wax with high acid value can even be considered as a plasticizer, and has high viscosity, good dispersibility, and high melting point. It is suitable for products that require high plasticization, high filling, and high post mold release requirements, such as large-diameter PVC pipes, PVC foam boards, and shrinkage films. Low density oxidized polyethylene wax can also improve the plasticization speed, but it is not as strong as high-density oxidized polyethylene wax and is relatively mild. It is suitable for products that require high-speed extrusion, good surface gloss, and precipitation resistance, such as high-speed extruded PVC conduit, injection molded pipe fittings, and PVC profiles.
