1. Application of pe wax
(1) High density color masterbatch and filler masterbatch: used as dispersant in color masterbatch processing, widely used in polyolefin color masterbatch. It has good compatibility with PE, PVC, PP and other resins, and has excellent external lubrication and internal lubrication;
(2) Pipes, composite stabilizers and profiles: they are used as dispersants, lubricants and brighteners in the process of PVC, pipes, composite stabilizers, PVC profiles, pipe fittings, PP and PE molding and processing to enhance the plasticization degree, improve the toughness and surface smoothness of plastic products, and are widely used in the production of PVC composite stabilizers;
(3) Ink: as the carrier of pigment, it can improve the abrasion resistance of paint and ink, improve the dispersion of pigment and filler, and have a good anti sedimentation effect. It can be used as a smoothing agent of paint and ink to make the products have good luster and three-dimensional feeling;
(4) Wax products: widely used in floor wax, automobile wax, polishing wax, candle and other wax products to improve the softening point of wax products and increase their strength and surface gloss.
(5) Cable material: used as a lubricant of cable insulation material, it can enhance the diffusion of filler, improve the extrusion molding rate, increase the mold flow, and facilitate demoulding;
(6) Hot melt products: used for all kinds of hot melt adhesives, thermosetting powder coatings, road marking paints, etc. as dispersant, it has good anti sedimentation effect and makes the products have a good gloss and three-dimensional feeling;
(7) Rubber: as a processing aid of rubber, it can enhance the diffusion of filler, improve the extrusion molding rate, increase the mold flow, facilitate demoulding, and improve the surface brightness and smoothness of the product after demoulding;
(8) Cosmetics: make the products have the luster and three-dimensional feeling;
(9) Injection molding: enhance the surface gloss of products.

2. Production method of polyethylene wax
At present, there are three main production methods of polyethylene wax: one is polyethylene wax synthesized by oligomerization of ethylene monomers, such as free radical oligomerization; The other is polyethylene wax prepared by degradation of high polymer; The third is the by-product in the process of polyethylene synthesis, such as polyethylene wax obtained by separating the by-product in the high-pressure polyethylene synthesis.
(1) Ethylene polymerization
There are three main methods to produce polyethylene wax by ethylene polymerization. One is polymerization with free radical catalyst under high temperature and pressure; Second, polymerization with Ziegler catalyst under low pressure; Third, metallocene catalyst polymerization.
(2) Polyethylene cracking method
The molecular weight distribution of polyethylene wax produced by polymerization method is narrow, and the relative molecular weight can be controlled manually, but it must be carried out in a large device, with large capital investment. Domestic manufacturers generally use the thermal cracking method of high molecular weight polyethylene to produce. The raw materials used in this method can be polyethylene resin or polyethylene waste plastic. The former can produce high-grade products, while the latter can produce low-grade products. High molecular weight polyethylene can be thermally cracked into low molecular weight polyethylene wax under the condition of air isolation. The properties related to the structure (such as crystallinity, density, hardness and melting point) of the polyethylene wax thus prepared are affected by the cracking raw materials. Cracking processing methods are divided into cracking kettle method and extrusion method. The cracking kettle method is a batch processing method, which is suitable for manufacturers with low production capacity and small capacity; Extrusion method is continuous production, suitable for enterprises with large production capacity and high production capacity.
(3) Purification of polyethylene by-product
Polyethylene wax products can be recovered from the mixture of low molecular weight components and solvents obtained by the by-product in the production of polyethylene by ethylene polymerization. After the solvent and initiator are removed from the by-product of the polyethylene unit, the molecular weight distribution of the product is still very wide, which limits its application field and requires further purification by solvent separation. This by-product polyethylene wax product usually contains molecules with a relative molecular weight of about 1000, so it is lower than the polyethylene wax product produced by ethylene polymerization in terms of mechanical strength, heat resistance and other physical properties.

(4) Modification of polyethylene wax
Polyethylene wax is a non-polar molecule. If polar groups can be inserted into the molecule, the application field will be greatly expanded. These functionalized polyethylene waxes can be produced by copolymerization of ethylene and oxygen-containing monomers, and carboxyl groups can be introduced into polyethylene waxes by chemical methods such as oxidation and grafting, and then further modified by chemical reactions such as esterification, amidation and saponification. These functionalized polyethylene waxes can meet the requirements of different applications.
